Every March 8th, the world comes together to celebrate International Women’s Day—a day dedicated to recognizing the achievements of women and advocating for gender equality. This year, the theme Accelerate Action reminds us that the time for change is now.

A Message from Our CEO, Alison Hoskins
As a woman in leadership, I am proud to be part of a system where so many women have risen to the top. Across our country, credit unions that are making impactful differences in their communities are led by women. Panels of experts as we collaborate and strengthen the collective knowledge feature woman, their perspectives and their expertise. The fact that we are here doesn’t mean it was an easy journey. Diverse thoughts, diverse styles and diverse perspectives make for better decisions – the research supports that. As women balance the pulls and tugs of bringing their value to workplaces and the passion they have for consciously raising families, fostering better relationships and instilling their values into everything they do, we have to make sure we are always asking are we doing enough? What invisible barriers still exist and how can we champion for the women around us? I am excited by communities of women sharing openly about challenges at all ages and stages and creating support networks to lift each other up. I am excited about female public figures that loudly cheer for the success of other women instead of dwelling on why not me. I am excited about the impact these women have on the young women coming up in our world. There’s much to be excited about, but there is also still so much we can do.
