In December, we provided an update regarding the opening of our new McBride Branch located at 210 Main Street. Today we’re excited to share that the new branch will open on March 5th. During the soft opening, some branch features and services will be limited to ensure we can help as many members as possible.
Grand Opening Event
We cannot wait to celebrate with you, and there will be a grand opening event with more details to come. While we work out the details, we would like to share that March 5th will be a soft opening to help your Integris McBride team become familiar with their new home.
Branch Features and Services
Your new branch team is excited to welcome you! Our three experienced professionals, which includes an Assistant Branch Manager and two Member Service Representatives, will offer a full range of services, including:
- Account Opening
- Cash and Deposit Services
- Investments (ie. Term deposits, GIC’s, RRSP/RESP/TFSA, etc.)
- Borrowing for home, auto, and personal needs
- Online banking support
- ATM
- Night Deposit
Additionally, the Integris Insurance team is just down the street for all your home and business insurance needs. Between Banking and Insurance, our financial experts are happy to connect you with our broader team for all of your personal, family and business financial needs.
Becoming a Member
Our aim is to provide an efficient process of becoming a member as we earn your trust. Mindful of staff capacity limitations, we have developed a member onboarding process that will streamline your experience. The process involves providing your personal information ahead of membership/account opening so that when we meet for the first time, our conversation is centered more on you and your specific needs – not data entry as you sit there waiting. The process is outlined below.
Please note at this time we cannot take walk-in membership/account opening appointments given limitations to branch and staff capacity. Book an appointment to become a member by calling 250-612-3456 or visiting us online and enrolling through our “Open Anywhere” portal.
Please be sure to pass along your feedback if you have ideas or suggestions for improving the process.
Personal Accounts:
- Visit Open Anywhere on our website to submit your info through our digital channel. Once we have your info, our Member Experience Centre will contact you to determine next steps and answer any questions you may have.
- Visit Integris Insurance in McBride to obtain a “Personal Information Collection Form”. Complete the form and provide two pieces of ID to Insurance staff. They will email this information to our Member Experience Centre who will begin the process and reach out with more information.
Business Accounts:
- To open a business account, please contact Sharon Glover ([email protected]) or Bridget Bessette ([email protected]) by email to initiate the process. Please note that business accounts require the business owners to open personal banking profiles though not necessarily personal accounts; however, we aim to earn both your business and personal business!
- Once we have received your communication initiating the process, staff will contact you to advise on documentation required (your accountant or lawyer may have these). This typically includes but may differ depending on the business structure (ie. Corporation, sole proprietor, partnership) documents such as Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and Share Certificates.
Please note that Integris is a credit union and not a bank. As such, we have different Regulatory Requirements. We are required to pull personal Credit Bureau files for everyone wishing to operate an account with us. Should you feel that a credit check is a barrier to earning your business, we encourage you to speak with us about it. We have many tools and strategies available to you to meet you where you’re at and partner with you to help you improve your credit rating.
Branch Hours and Accessibility
The branch days and hours for the new McBride branch will be:
Wednesday & Thursday: 10AM – 4PM
Friday: 10AM – 5PM

Viability Update
To date, we’re pleased to share that McBride has passed the 44% milestone of our membership target. Congratulations McBride on all those who have become members already! We are hopeful that with our branch opening, we will see that increase to our membership target.
