Secondary (High School) Awards

At Integris, we are committed to enhancing the well-being of our communities. One of the ways that we do this is through our high school education awards.

Along with many of our post-secondary awards, we offer many scholarships and bursaries at a secondary (high-school) level. Because we serve many communities, it is only fitting that we offer assistance to further your education in not one – but in all five – of our communities.

Clinton – School District No. 74

The community of Clinton has a $1000 scholarship awarded by Integris Credit Union. This scholarship can be awarded as one scholarship, or divided into two $500 scholarships, depending on successful applicant(s).

Eligibility and criteria for the Scholarship are as follows:

  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong level of academic achievement, leadership and community engagement
  • A personal letter detailing career goals is required
  • A letter of reference will assist in determining the successful applicant
  • Preference will be given to Integris members or children of Integris members

The successful candidate will be chosen by:

  • Two branch managers, or
  • One branch manager and an Integris Director

Prince George – School District No. 57

Within the community of Prince George, Integris gives two bursaries and two scholarships to help students who are applying to an accredited post-secondary institution.

The amounts are as follows:

  • Integris Credit Union Bursary (2 x $500)
  • Integris Credit Union Scholarship (2 x $1000)

Eligibility and criteria for the Scholarship are as follows:

  • Applicants must be a students in the City of Prince George
  • Must be a member of Integris or a son or daughter of an Integris member
  • An intended career in finance, economics, technology or marketing is a must
  • Demonstrated a high level of achievement. Demonstrated leadership or involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities
  • A letter of reference outlining leadership and community involvement must accompany the application

The successful applicants of the scholarships will be chosen by the District Awards Committee. For more details, please speak with a school counsellor or visit the school district website.

Quesnel – School District No. 28

In the district of Quesnel, Integris offers bursaries for both Correlieu Secondary School and McNaughton Center.

The amounts are as follows:

  • Integris Credit Union Bursary (2 x $1000)

Eligibility and criteria for the Scholarship are as follows:

  • Applicants must be a member or have a parent that is a member of Integris
  • Students must submit an outline of activities or sports, describing contribution to community and school
  • A short essay (250 words) must be submitted, on where the applicant will be in 5-10 years and the contributions they will make to the community

Vanderhoof and Fort. St. James – School District No. 91 (excluding Burns Lake)

Integris is proud to sponsor deserving students in Vanderhoof and Fort St. James. Candidates will be selected by their School Awards Committee based upon the criteria noted below.

The amounts for the awards are as such:

  • Integris Credit Union Scholarship (1 x $500 for Fort St. James Secondary School)
  • Integris Credit Union Scholarship (2 x $500 for Nechako Valley Secondary School)

Eligibility and criteria for the Scholarship are as follows:

  • A demonstrated high level of academic achievement, leadership and involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities.
  • A letter of reference outlining leadership and community involvement must accompany all applications.
  • An intention to pursue a career in business, education, medical or technology.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are either members or are the children of members of Integris Credit Union.
