Prince George, BC – Innovation Central Society (ICS) and the Hubspace are thrilled to announce a new three year partnership with Integris Credit Union.
“As the ‘Founding Champion’ of the Hubspace, Integris’ continued support provides us with a solid foundation from which to continue to grow the Hubspace” says Matt Hutcheon, Executive Director of ICS. “Integris was a critical early supporter of the Hubspace when we launched last year, and their multi-year commitment going forward will have an incredible impact.”
The Hubspace is a co-working and event space in downtown Prince George, and provides a place for entrepreneurs, innovators, artists and musicians, educators, non-profits and others in the community to connect and collaborate, to foster new businesses as well as social innovations for Prince George.
“Our partnership with Innovation Central demonstrates our commitment to innovate economic development,” remarks David Bird, President and CEO of Integris Credit Union. “Our support for the Hubspace is driven by our promise to enrich communities by championing economic resiliency and sustainability. Businesses owned and headquartered here in the North are the regional economic engine. So, we support the business-enabling organizations such as Innovation central as they enable the entrepreneurs who go ‘all in’ to make Life Out Here the best it can be,” says Bird.
“We have already seen members benefit in their businesses from referrals provided to them by other members” says Hutcheon. “And, we have been fortunate to have had a wide variety of events in the Hubspace during our first year of operation, ranging from business training and economic development seminars, to meetups of teachers and librarians, and arts and cultural events like Art Battle and Coldsnap.” The Hubspace is available for organizations to rent for their events, and coworking options include drop-in privileges as well as more permanent work spaces.
