Credit Union Shares & Voting Privileges
Every member of a credit union is a shareholder and part owner. Being a shareholder gives member-owners the ability to vote in the Board of Directors’ Elections, for any special resolutions, as well as, at the Annual General Meeting. When you become a member, you purchase a Class A Membership Share ($5 for personal members; $25 for business members) which gives you a democratic say in how your financial institution is run. Here is how we do business.
Did you know you don’t have to be an Integris member to do business with us? You can choose to do business with Integris Credit Union, Integris Insurance Services Ltd., Integris Financial Planning Services Ltd. – or with all three divisions.
Full-service members get even more rewards! What does it mean to be a full-service member? Full-service members invest in the credit union because they believe in our mission and vision as much as we do. They support local because it’s important and they have their banking, insurance, and investments with the credit union. The more business you do with us, the better incentives you receive on rates.
Here’s how we do rates:
Our Posted Rate is the base rate that we are offering on a product.
Our Best Member Rate is the posted rate plus an additional 0.70% members can earn if they meet additional criteria (note this excludes special rates).
How do you earn more on rates? Members can earn up to 0.20% for their length of membership, an additional 0.40% for the volume of business (cumulative assets held with all CU subsidiaries), and an additional 0.10% for using Integris as your Primary FI (chequing + payroll).
We advertise our Posted Rate to be transparent about the base rate every member qualifies for. Members can better their interest rates by up to 0.70% through length of membership, volume of business, and by using Integris as their primary FI.
Relationship pricing premiums are not applied to special rates which may be offered from time to time.
Integris Incentives
For each product or service (mortgage, registered and non-registered investment, life or disability insurance, private auto, chequing/savings, etc.) you have with Integris, you are eligible for a $10 member discount to a maximum of $50 off your residential insurance premium.
Integris relationship pricing provides additional member incentives based on your full use of our subsidiaries. Ask your branch representative for more information.
