Get your CRA benefits faster!

We’ve launched a new feature within Integris Online Banking to help you enroll for Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) Direct Deposit Service. We understand the financial impacts of COVID-19 and want to ensure that you can send your banking information seamlessly to CRA so that you can receive your benefits with as little financial impact as possible.

What CRA benefits are eligible for Direct Deposit?

  • Canada Emergency Response Benefit
  • Canada Emergency Student Benefit
  • Income tax refund
  • GST/HST credit and any similar provincial and territorial payments
  • Canada workers benefit
  • Deemed overpayment of tax

What is Direct Deposit?

Direct deposit is a secure electronic transfer of funds deposited straight into your bank account, replacing the need for paper cheques. Deposits are credited to your account quicker because CRA doesn’t have to mail the cheque to you, ensuring you get the help you need, when you need it.

If you’re eligible for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) or the Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB), we encourage you to sign up for direct deposit as soon as possible to receive your benefit payments on time.

What you need to know about the CRA Direct Deposit feature

The direct deposit information will take up to 2 business days to appear in your CRA account.

If you already have direct deposit set up with CRA then no action is required, you will continue to receive any amounts to be paid to you by the CRA to your existing account at Integris or other financial institution.

If you wish to make a change to your existing CRA direct deposit information, complete the set up using Online Banking and any amounts to be paid to you by CRA will be directly deposited to your Integris account. This will replace all previous CRA direct deposit authorizations.

Please note, that this new benefit is not available on our mobile app.

CRA Direct Deposit Eligibility Requirements

  • Eligible: Integris Personal Canadian Dollar Chequing and Savings accounts.
  • Non-Eligible: USD Chequing, Registered, TFSA, Line of Credit, Home Equity Line of Credit, and Student Line of Credit. 
  • You must have a valid SIN and Date of Birth on file with Integris.
  • You must have filed at least one income tax return with CRA to be eligible 

Set up CRA direct deposit using online banking (Desktop Only)

  1. Log in to online banking from your desktop computer
  2. In the left hand menu, select Account Services
  3. In the submenu, select Set Up CRA Direct Deposit
  4. Read the Payment Information and click Next
  5. Select the account you would like the funds deposited into
  6. Verify that your name and date of birth displayed match the information on file with CRA
  7. Check off your authorization to let Integris Credit Union share your banking information with the CRA for the purpose of establishing or changing direct deposit
  8. Click Next
  9. Review the information
  10. Click Submit
